History
Originally built in 1837, the front portion of the house was removed, relocated (just two blocks away) and replaced with our beautiful Queen Ann front in 1897.
The restoration of the Victorian Lady B&B has produced a warm and inviting atmosphere, which gives guests the feeling of stepping back in time to an era when people lived at a much slower pace. There is a corner tower which runs from the basement to the attic. Many large windows add to the sunny charm of this wonderful old house with two fireplaces, a wainscoted archway and decorated “Tudor” ceilings.
Your day starts in the sunny and spacious formal dining room where guests are once again surrounded by the charming furnishings of the Victorian Lady B&B. A full breakfast consisting of juice, fresh fruit (in season), homemade breads and muffins, cereals, eggs, pancakes or french toast is served by candlelight and is varied each day.
All three of our Bed & Breakfast sleeping parlors at this intimate getaway, the Rose Room, the Tulip Room, and the Lilac Room are beautifully furnished with family owned antiques and Victorian period pieces. Comfortable Queen beds with down toppers, private baths, cable television, air conditioning, ceiling fans and other amenities, are in all parlors.
